As I go through my day, I watch for moments when the corners of my mouth turn up and my heart lifts. I note these moments of delight in my journal and consider their patterns here. I encourage you to be on the lookout for your Delight of the Day.
This week, I have been working on a project that involved going through dozens of photos taken over the last couple decades of my life. Each photo brings back memories of where we were, what we were doing and how I felt. Because they were happy times, it has been a happy project. Yes, there were a few pins and needles of grief as I recognized losses suffered during that time, but for the most part I was awash in happy reminiscence.
Other joints this week include:
listening to harp music at the farmers market
watching the documentary Alive Inside (strongly recommended!)
Egyptian honey candy brought by an ESL student
feeling well after feeling not so well
reading a list of 50 ways to feed your soul
May you find delight in each day.
