As I go through my day, I watch for moments when the corners of my mouth turn up and my heart lifts. I note these moments of delight in my journal and consider their patterns here. I encourage you to be on the lookout for your Delight of the Day.
I have been reading “Holding Your Family Together” for my church.
Author Rich Melheim suggests that family members share highs and lows with each other each evening
Practicing that sharing with my daughter recently has reminded me how powerful it is to tell my Delight of the Day to another person. Saying the words out loud and trying to communicate what was joyful about the moment increases my delight.
It’s a very simple practice that increases intimacy and enjoyment.
May you find delight each day.
