Delights of the Day (for the week)

As I go through my day, I watch for moments when the corners of my mouth turn up and my heart lifts. I note these moments of delight  in my journal and consider their patterns  here. I encourage you to be on the lookout for your Delight of the Day.
Several of my conversations this week have been blessed with vulnerable honesty from the other (and I hope from me too).

What a sacred space is created when someone speaks honestly about what’s going on in his or her life, mind and heart, when I hear that someone else, like me, doesn’t have answers, but is continuing to continue.

I am reminded of the line from Jim Henson’s Labyrinth: “through dangers untold and hardships unnumbered, I have fought my way here…”

If I hear another tell a bit about their journey – the dangers and the hardships – then it encourages me to keep on… one foot in front of another.

When I am in the presence of that honesty, I feel the heavens stretching open above me, past galaxies, through dark matter,  every molecule becomes holy.

May you find delight each day.
