Kind promise: I will love in this moment.
Later this afternoon, Gov. Mark Dayton will sign legislation making same-sex marriage legal in Minnesota.
I cannot think any situation in which love should be limited or legislated. (Mind you, I am not speaking about sex. There, I want culture to promote safe, enthusiastically-consensual, manipulation-free activity, which I realize is a tall order.)

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
that love and the bravery to aspire to that love in a legal partnership should not be denied anyone.
So, yay love!
